Have overlooked you ....
Please forgive me .... I have been otherwise engaged. I will do my best to try and keep this blog up to date ....
To start the ball rolling here is a view of Litton Mill from the Platelayer's path.
Taken on an autumn day a few years ago it captures something of the splendid views from this de facto path .... if you want to know where it is - be in touch !

Thanks GC ... it's good to be back !
Fantastic Walk that, Litton Mill is lovely and its even better when you get above the Millpond at Water cum jolly.
It is indeed, Phil ... you have to watch out where you put your feet but it is well worth it.
'Platelayers path'??? That's the first time I've heard it called that. Any more info'? I always know it as the 'alpine path'. It's a great path, but the new 'right to roam' act has opened up the very top of that dale, and the views are stunning.
The local Ramblers' group used to call it the platelayers path ~ we assumed this was the route some of the railwaymen would use but why wouldn't they walk on the line if necessary ?
I noticed that the right to roam has opened up this hillside but I've not explored it yet. I can see I will have to do so ...
